IMAGE COMPETITION BOOT CAMP

Join us for our image competition boot camp on May 13, 2019 to help you prepare for the Austin PPA competition scheduled for June 2, 2019.

Lewis Kincheloe, Valerie Steinkoenig and Ross Benton from the Professional Photographers of San Antonio affiliate will present a review of the process, a discussion of the 12 elements of a merit image and talk about the scoring process.

Members are invited to bring up to 10 images on a thumb drive for in-person critiques. Boot camp leaders will review images in small groups as long as time permits.

Members will also have the opportunity to participate in a role playing exercise as judges so you can see what it's like on the other side. This will be a great learning experience, especially if you have not seen an imaging judging event before.

Meeting Cancellation Policy

If our monthly membership meeting is cancelled due to inclement weather, location availability, natural disasters or other practical reasons, Austin PPA will attempt to reschedule the meeting for the following week or as soon as possible. If the meeting cannot be rescheduled for a particular month, fees submitted by all registered attendees will be applied to the following month’s membership meeting. One or more email messages will be sent to all registered attendees and the general membership regarding the cancellation and available rescheduling information.
