    • 6:00 PM - 9:30 PM
    • Precision Camera & Video, 2438 W. Anderson Lane, Austin, TX 78757

Bree started as most photographers do in this new digital arena. She bought a Canon Rebel and became an underpriced self-taught shoot and burn MWAC. (Mom with a Camera). She was shooting in auto and buying presets and actions to make her photos magical while copying the style of photographers she admired. She was booked solid around the clock and turning away clients and earning a huge paycheck of…practically nothing.

Then something happened. She realized there could be so much more to this photography journey with some education, finding her own niche and style, charging a respectable amount for what she offered and creating who she was as a photographer verses following the crowd and most importantly tapping emotion!

Bree Adams evolved from a shoot and burn $85 per disk weekend warrior to a studio established and award winning photographer in 18 months specializing in the niche of Newborns and Modern Maternity. Her average client going from $85 for a full disk to averaging $4000 for the same client and taking the print competition arena by storm and earning her Master of Photography and Photographic Craftsman in just 2 years.

Bree runs a successful studio bringing back the revival of maternity and newborn artistry. Her newborn style consists of minimal props and distractions with pure focus on the beauty of posing and light from both organic to dramatic light. Her maternity sessions step away from the frumpy “been there and done that” belly posing and traditional feel to a stylish and fresh approach that ranges from organic, to sexy and even timeless high-end art.

Now Bree runs a fully booked studio in Historic Mansfield Texas. In a short amount of time she has accomplished:

    • Photographer of the Year Dallas, 2016
    • Master of Photography
    • Photographic Craftsman
    • Certified Professional Photographer
    • Medaling all three years of IPC with PPA

In this program she will take you through how she tore her entire business apart to start over and do it right. Attendees will learn exactly how she runs her hybrid studio pricing, online marketing, new ways to market, how to think outside of the box to connect, how to take their studio to a new level and how to accelerate any genre.

The Art of Painting with Photoshop

The differences between traditional art and digital art are vast and varied. There is one common link: the knowledge and skill needed to create true art, regardless of the medium. Not only does Sandra Pearce have a working knowledge of traditional and computer based art, she has experience teaching each form as well. She feels that photographers are already comfortable with the tools used in Photoshop, and this enables them to concentrate on the techniques of painting rather than learning a new program.

With so many teachers in the photography world, we all need a good reason to take a class that will help our businesses grow and prosper. Sandra is one only a handful of digital artists who are using Photoshop exclusively to create masterpieces. She teaches you how to use all the tools that Adobe has in Photoshop that can be used for painting. You will learn to use the Mixer Brush to create and blend backgrounds. You will learn to take your images to the next level (and the next!).

Please join Sandra for fun, while exploring your inner creativity and learning to paint during the journey.

Sandra Pearce is one of the most sought out digital artists in the photographic industry today. She is a Master Artist, Master Photographer, and Craftsman. She is an Image Excellence & Image Excellence Bar Recipient. Sandra has had the opportunity to speak to thousands of professional photographers across the Unite States, from guild level programs to state and national conventions. Her experience in digital imaging has set her apart in competition and she has been awarded Artist of the Year by the Florida Professional Photographers numerous years, Canon Par Excellence 2015 and 2016, Kodak Awards, Fuji Awards, and other awards through the years. Sandra has been in the top ten for GIA awards since its inception in 2010. Sandra won the FIA Award for 1st Place in the Art Category in 2010 and 2016 at the Imaging Awards.

This class has been approved by PPA for one continuing education merit for each attendee. (approval in progress)

From APPA: This is a hands-on class. You MUST bring your computer and a tablet (Wacom Intuos is recommended). If you don't have a tablet, beg, borrow, buy, or steal one, but you need one.

This is not and introduction to Photoshop. You will need to know a few basics, have used the brush tool, and be reasonably comfortable generally. It is recommended that you take an introductory Photoshop class, watch some YouTube videos or otherwise prepare yourself.
