Join us for our Annual Image Competition.
The annual Image Competition is the year-end culmination of our members' efforts in creating and finessing their photography. It's a great time for all of us to see quality work and to hear feedback from our competition judges.
Members can earn awards for Best of Show and the Top Case award plus trophies for the top three finishers in the Portrait, Illustration and NEWLY ADDED: Nature categories. Members will earn points toward the APPA Photographer of the Year awards which will be announced at the holiday party in December.
Plus, we're inviting North Austin Pfotographic Society to participate in this year's competition.
Our jurors for this year's competition will be Steve Kozak, Teri Whittaker & Malinda Julien.
The competition will be recorded. Relevant content and audio critiques will be attached to images in the Printcompetition.com website after the event.
Live judging begins at 1 pm. Please arrive shortly before 1 pm so we can start on time.
Please register here so we know how many people to expect. Food and drinks can be purchased at the venue.
You do not have to submit an image to attend the live judging event. You do not have to attend the live judging to place in the awards (but it's much more fun that way!). INVITE your photographer friends to cheer you on or to experience this wonderful and friendly competition.
All images must be submitted through printcompetition.com.
Image submission begins October 27, 2025
Submissions end at midnight November 7, 2025
$20 per image for APPA members and members of the North Austin Photographic Society
$25 per image for non-members
$5 for critiques for all participants
Participants may submit up to five (5) images. Only the top scoring four (4) images will be counted.
Audio critiques will be available for an additional $5 per image and will be posted to the website after the event.
Note the submission deadline is Friday, November 7th at midnight (that's between the Friday and Saturday, November 8th).
