  Certified Professional Photographer Exam Prep Class

  Tim’s Place – 3434 Oxsheer Drive Austin, TX

  Time: 9 am – 4:30 pm Investment: $99

  The Austin PPA supports the value of the PPA Certified Professional Photographer program.  This class helps students prepare for the CPP examination. Topics include:

  - Photographic equipment

  - Exposure and metering

  - Lighting

  - Math formulas

  - Color theory

  - Composition

  - Sample test questions

  The location for this class is Tim’s place located at 3434 Oxsheer Drive. The class runs from 9 am – 4:30 pm with a break from noon – 1 pm for lunch. We will likely order pizza.

  PPA members who attend this class are eligible to receive one service merit from PPA. To receive a merit for this class, your PPA membership must be current prior to the date of the class.

  The instructor for this class is Tim Babiak, M.Photog.Cr., CPP. Tim serves on the Texas PPA and Austin PPA Boards of Directors.

  Join us for our Annual Image Competition.

  The annual Image Competition is the year-end culmination of our members' efforts in creating and finessing their photography. It's a great time for all of us to see quality work and to hear feedback from our competition judges. Members can earn awards for Best of Show and the Top Case award plus trophies for the top three finishers in the Portrait, Illustration and Album categories.

  Our jurors for this year's competition will be Steve Kozak, Teri Whittaker & Malinda Julien Lambert.

  Live judging begins at 1 pm. 

  Please arrive shortly before 1 pm so we can start on time.

  
  

  Please register here so we know how many peole to expect. 

  (We're planning a pizza party afterwards at a local restaurant.)

  You do not have to submit an image to attend the live judging event.

  You do not have to attend the live judging to place in the awards (but it's much more fun that way!).

  All images must be submitted through printcompetition.com.

  Image submission begins November 7th.
  Submissions end at midnight November 14th

  $15 per image for members

  $25 per image for non-members

  $10 for critiques for all particiants

  We can’t wait to see everyone at the last bash of the year! So, throw on your best holiday gear, grab the most ridiculous gift you can find, and come prepared for an evening packed with belly laughs, good cheer, and memories that'll last longer than your last family photo session.
