ABOUT US
Austin Professional Photographers Association, previously PPGA, is a non-profit organization that was established in 1950 by a small group of local working photographers who were also members of the Professional Photographers of America. As a chapter guild of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), the purpose of Austin PPA is to advance the art and profession of photography; to encourage and maintain cordial relations and interchange of creative thoughts of its members; and to oppose violations or infringement of rights of professional photographers, association members vow to operate their businesses with respect and honesty towards their clientele. Austin PPA members aid the state organization, the Texas Professional Photographers Association (TPPA), with events and conventions held in the state of Texas. Austin PPA regularly holds seminars and conferences to showcase the talents of local and national professional photographers. Austin PPA members and the Board of Directors give freely of their time and experience to educate aspiring photographers in the Austin metropolitan area. |
